Once you start collecting, you always have to have at least one turntable that's running. Here's hoping it arrives in one piece.
It should play LPs after setup, but it does have some issues. Read the letter in the box first.

I think this is yet another BeoWorld 'First'! A 'relay' style thread maybe?
Sorry for the broken and abrupt posts earlier - I was in a meeting and had to keep my phone use to a minimum.
I must say, I was VERY curious as to what you were sending me, Rich. I thought for a brief (very, very brief!) second; 'maybe he is sending me a turntable'! I quickly dismissed that, as I thought who on earth would just send me a turntable! It must be some more LP's.
This is spectacular! I have vinyl purchased and also acquired collections from friends and family and I have not had a working deck to listen to them on. This is EXACTLY what I needed! Now, while listening and that I have some more free time (one of my classes is finished 7 weeks early!!!) I can get down to work on my BeoProjects. Not to mention, figure a plan to thank Rich properly!

Well, it goes back a year, but back when I was giving you all that grief about not having a turntable, you may remember I wrote in another thread that I was going to do just that: just send you a table. I was looking locally on Craigslist for something, but nothing came of it right away. Then you got your 1202 and I stopped looking. Once that went down, though, I started looking again. Finally found something for you this past week.

I'm sure you are all wondering why I haven't updated this thread knowing that the BeoGram had arrived over 9 hours ago.
My house was broken into this evening and as a result of a violent TV removal, my internet connection was destroyed. Thankfully, the BeoGram and all other possessions of mine were left intact and untouched.
The police have arrived to take my info. I will be back shortly to resume the thread.
Now that the police have left and my internet is up and running again, the thread can proceed.

Normally I don't either, but I certainly was when I pulled up and saw the back door to my house wide open. The offenders are lucky I didn't catch them in the act, my adrenaline was on a level it has never been before - they wouldn't have had a chance.

Moved to the coffee table for inspection. This is exactly how a turntable should be packed - platter removed, cartridge removed, tonearm secured and transport screws engaged.
After this point, I had left my house to help out my teammates prepare for tomorrow's testing session.

It is a miracle it wasn't taken.
The BeoGram's proximity to the scene of the theft couldn't have been any worse.
When I got home from the shop, I arrived to a broken back door and a kitchen littered with shards of plexi-glass and bits of asphalt, the tool used to gain access to my house.
In the living room, I found the 3404 unscathed.
Now for a look inside - looking fantastic!!! Now, before plugging this unit in, I need to get the tonearm back to its home position.

Funny you should mention The Police! They were next in the pile of LPs I grabbed from the stack upstairs.
First I listened to the Pink Floyd album that Rich had previously sent me. I figured I needed to listen to one of those he sent me first, it only seemed right! After that was Eric Clapton, Otis Redding and Sade.

I am glad that the bottle of beer disappeared at one point - I was getting worried about how long it had remained unopened
I have spent my day spring cleaning the area where my stackable B&Os are stacked ... next time I might play some old LPs on them !
But right now it is beer o'clock for me !

I am very sorry to hear that. I have been burglarized twice in the past two years. Both times they took the largest television and the gaming system and other things but not a single piece of stereo equipment.
The first time, they took a Wii (current retail price new $150) but left a $1000 AV receiver that was in the cabinet next to it. Punk kids.
My advice: ADT is your friend. Already thwarted another burglary attempt.
I really ought to move....

Both times this house was burglarized: broad daylight on a weekday. The second time they broke a window right next to my BG4002/CD X/BM4000/etc. main system. AND JUST IGNORED IT as they climbed through the window. I mean, they would have had to step around the right channel M70. "It could have been so much worse" and "I have to do something to prevent this from happening again" were the two most common things I said.

The only thing wrong with this picture is the fact that the BG3404 isn't actually playing!
Save that adapter I see on the coffee table. You will need it when your 1202 is back running and you want to hook the 3404 into a Dark Side system! (At least that's why I included it!)

I immediately remembered those events of yours. Terrible. They left the xBox 360 right underneath the tv, completely untouched.
These punks don't have the muscle to move my Dark Side system.
Naturally, I'm already brainstorming security options. The landlord is supposed to be coming over today to survey the damage, I'll talk to him about it.
