I’m sorry if I’m annoying anyone with questions that have already been answered but I have searched on the forum and read in the service manual but can’t find anything about this.
I’m preparing for changing processor board (board 2) in Beomaster 6000 (2251) and I have therefor taken away the glass plate and the plastic screen for the display. The board is loose, except for the thread for the volume indicator.
Now I wonder how to get further, what the right way to loosen the thread and/or the plastic band (that the thread is attached to) from the board is. I also wonder how the thread will be drawn when all the pieces are back on their right places again. Is there maybe someone who can show a pic of a working system?
How do i disconnect the thread from the board?
How shall the thread be drawn when it’s time to put the pieces together again?

Note the path of the thread. The board that comes from me will have both the volume pattern screen, the thread and the pulley.Just pull off the pulley from the potentiometer shaft, take the whole board with thread and pulley out andput the replacement board in.
Martin
A nice package arrived from Denmark today. Thank you, Martin!
Now my Beomaster 6000 is working again. Plug & Play must have been invented by B&O. (Or perhaps by Martin?)
The Beocord 9000 got new belts as well and are also running fine again – except for when I close the upper chassis and tighten the two screws in the back end. Then the tape continues running and I have sound but I cannot use the keys! None of them works until I loosen the screws and open the lid up, just a few millimeters is enough to get the key working again. Any suggestions?
Finally I just have one question left: is it possible to use a Beogram 6000, the 4-channel type with the Beomaster 6000 (2251)?
