Hi.  I've seen a few threads about modifying power transformers for different voltages and was hoping for a bit more information.

I purchased a restored Beogram 5005 120v US model 5923 some time ago and was wondering if its possible to convert it to 240v?  Is this something a local repair shop could do or does it require some specialised knowledge or parts?  Alternatively, if I had the transformer removed can it be sent to someone to do this sort of modification?

Any competent electronics technician armed with a soldering iron and the circuit diagram from the service manual could do the job.
