Hi. I've seen a few threads about modifying power transformers for different voltages and was hoping for a bit more information.
I purchased a restored Beogram 5005 120v US model 5923 some time ago and was wondering if its possible to convert it to 240v? Is this something a local repair shop could do or does it require some specialised knowledge or parts? Alternatively, if I had the transformer removed can it be sent to someone to do this sort of modification?
I think i have a 240v transformer for a beogram og you want it.
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Why not use seperate step down transformer?
Any competent electronics technician armed with a soldering iron and the circuit diagram from the service manual could do the job.
Regards Graham
That would be great. Please let me know the cost. cjh68@iprimus.com.au
Thanks. Will download a copy of the service manual for this. Cheers, Chris
