Hi,

Just bought these. Sound is crisp & clear. Awesome so far. However I was wondering if there is some way to change the audio settings/equalizer App etc so that I could pump up the base a little. It's lacking in this area.

Glad you like them! You’ll be able to do it in the BeoPlay app in the ToneTouch section :)

How do they fit in your ear ? Are they like the earset 3i and just sit in your ear or do you have to cram them in for them to sound good ?

Sorry I don't know what the earset 3i are. I've always a bose customer. These are my first B&O purchase.

Yes I do push them in but I use the foam ear plugs rather than the plastic/rubber ones so they fit snug.  I've not noticed they get uncomfortable at any point so far. They certainly don't slip out.

I've since used the beo app to lean more base into it and now it's marginally more basey, but it's still light. Regardless, the sound is crisp & clear and despite no noise cancellation capability, they are just as quiet as my noise cancelling bose head phones. Interesting.  Actually I've noticed that even if I pause the music, I often have to tap the left ear to turn the 'transparency' on, to hear someone talking to me...they are very effecting blocking/isolating ambient noise.

When you’re in Tonetouch you can expand the dot and make it much bigger to cover more of the EQ which makes the earpiece slightly louder as well.

Ah, cool. That wasn't obvious. Thanks for the tip. It's effective.

mr_anders_son:

I have had my E8 2.0 a week now.

Really nice. Feels like real premium product with the nice brushed aluminium in the little box. Very crisp and detailed sound and good bass when you have found the eartips that fits best.

I have not been able to get them to work with the B&O app though.

I have the E8 original version and found the sound a bit flat after hearing the H9i.

I use the Commute ToneTouch preset, and for me this works well. I still prefer the H9i, though.

Make sure the B&O app and the E8 firmware are up to date. Then play with the ToneTouch until you’re happy.

You must be using them wrong, there's no way Apple earbuds have more bass than an IEM. You need to make a seal, if the tips are barely touching your ear canal, push them in further. Try smaller or bigger tips, or chaging the type (silicone or foam).

I find the rubber tips give better bass (at least in my wired B&O earbuds (E4s)).

By that I mean the dot in the Beo app, Tone Touch.

I think you put two fingers on the dot and move them apart.

Was just going to take a look but unfortunately the app has decided it’s not going to connect to them today but I’m sure you place your thumb and index finger over the spot and expand or pinch to increase and decrease the range.

Managed to get working again with a app update and you’re right oddly you can’t expand the spot. Actually having trouble with the app with not finding B&O Play products, Bang & Olufsen ones seem fine though. But out of ideas, never found the E8’s to be that punchy earphones but if you don’t mind wearing headphones audition a pair of H9i’s you’ll be wow’d by them but in the meantime play around with the rubber tips, you’ll be surprised what a difference finding the right tip will make. If definitely earphones you want and don’t need noice cancelling try the H5/E6 Active think they have a tad more bass. Sorry probably not what you want to hear after investing in the E8’s but hope you’re still happy with them.
