Hey Jim,

I'm so sorry, I completely missed your message...

As for the foam, I tried to find the same thickness but I couldn't but I will put them back eventually.

I did epoxy the filler driver magnets and the woofer terminals only but nothing else.  The midrange driver can only be removed from the inside, if you unscrew the nuts from the from, the magnet will fall off inside potentially damaging the coil.

Velcro was used to hold the front grills but it doesn't hold very well. I need to find another idea, also eventually...

I did the same speakers and used double sticky tape to put the grills back on. So far that has worked well.

Jim.

Hi ;-)

I'm trying to restore the foam of my m70's and I'm currently working on a template.

What kind of specs should the foam have? I'm having difficulties finding sound absorbing foam to match the original appearance.
If I choose acoustically transparent foam ment for speaker grills, that actually look right, the effect will not be damping much, or??

This is tricky!!
