In the process of trying to get a Beomaster1400M back to full working order and I'm having a bit of trouble sourcing a capacitor.
A 10µF 64V Axial. There is one obviously blown attached to the tuning circuit, but the type is used in several other places on the main board. My problem is that in Europe at least it seems 64V caps are hard to come by, seems everything is 63V and the next step up is 100V, which seems a big jump to me.
Farnell (Newark) will ship from the US but they want £15 delivery.
My question is the 63V close enough or should I just bite the bullit and pay more for the right spec.
The system was my Grandfathers, my Dad says he remembers listening to the moon landing on it, so has a bit of family history/sentimental value. Want to do right by it
A 63V cap will be fine. There are no voltages near that anywhere in the Beomaster anyways.

Good to know, Thank you.
Very much appreciated

Hi Steve,
When looking for axial type of capacitors, my choice go for the Vishay brand (formerly Philips) either 138AML or 120ATC both high temp capacitors.
This one should work fine for your application
Good luck!
Did some reading up first so I am trying to go for good brand components, have some on order already mostly Vishay.
I will look that number up, Thank you
