Hi all,
My first post since I re-entered the B&O world.
I picked up a Beocenter 9000 in great shape and a TX2 which will not be controlled remotely with the beolink 1000 I just purchased and fixed.
I'm thinking of buying a Beogram 5005 or 8002. I don't know much about the quality of the different Beograms and I'm also slightly confused which Beograms will work with my Beocenter 9000. I know the Beocenter 9000 has a RIAA so I need a table without RIAA and i know the table has to be DIN connected (my TX2 is RCA).
Any advise?

If I understand you correctly the 3300, 5005, 5500, 6000, 6006, 6002, 8000, 8002 and the 9000 are all from the 80s and the 2000, 3000, 5000 are 70s?
But they will all work with the Beocenter 9000 with the beolink 1000?
In you opinion are the 80s tables better then the 70s? (are there a differences with the integration/functionality)
I like my TX2 but I would like to use it with the remote control. Do you know if it's possible to change the cable on the TX2 from RCA to DIN in order to use it with the beolink 1000? (Since the TX is almost the same at the TX2)

The 3500, 4500, 6500 and 7000 will aslo work. You just connect them to the tape or aux input.
It is only the phoneo input that has the RIAA.

Jacob, The Beogram 2000 and 3000 name covers more than one model. There are examples of each in the 70s and 80s. The models from the 70s do not have datalink/remote capabilities; those from the 80s do In you opinion are the 80s tables better then the 70s? (are there a differences with the integration/functionality) Not necessarily - the Beogram 4000 and it’s derivatives and the Beogram 1700, all from the 70s, are some of the best turntables made by the company and probably better engineered than almost all of the turntables of the 80s. The turntables produced in the 80s and very early 90s were, with one or two notable exceptions ( the Beogram 5000 and the Beogram 6000/8000 families), all technically virtually the same turntable with any variations primarily cosmetic or cartridge. I like my TX2 but I would like to use it with the remote control. Do you know if it's possible to change the cable on the TX2 from RCA to DIN in order to use it with the beolink 1000? (Since the TX is almost the same at the TX2) I suspect it’s not just a cable issue but also the control functions of the TX2.
