How do I get rid of the terrible soap effect on Beovision 8-40? Game mode helps, but it still are there. Any other things you can do?
BeoNut since '75
hehe, no. Always when I am buy new technical stuff I got to try more things. Right now I considering to but another tv, if I can get rid of the soap effect and the masterlink does not work. :)
The soap effect is called motionplus on Samsung tv.
The soap effect completely destroys a good picture. I cannot stand looking at the news or a film, where it looks like they are everybody dancing. I can completely reject a tv, if I cannot turn off the soap effect.
Seems that I missed something there.
Never noticed that on my previous 8-40.
But maybe that is just me ;-)

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I guess hat the op is experiencing this on all sources and thought that the game mode could help.
I never used game mode on my 8-40.
Actually I think, that the picture is quite well.
I only replaced it to get a bigger and never (BSys4-based) tv....
....not because I disliked it.

Kind of ironic that the film mode makes the TV so much less film like isn't it?
