hi just bought a beosound mk2 on thursday but i have found it very picky on what cds it will play?

my beocenter 8500 plays anything i put in it also did my bs2500 before i sold it

also it takes quite a while to start playing a disc when it does decide to play it?

is this normal or is there somthing wrong?

Kind Regards

Mark

Have you adjusted the back of the 9000 for the orientation you have it at now ? There are 3 (?) positions it can be adjusted to.

Try an easy fix - a laser lens cleaning CD.  If that doesn't fix it it's possible you'll need to upgrade the CD mechanism, an expensive proposition.  That's why the mk3's are more in demand than the earlier series - they have an improved CD mechanism (as well as other enhancements).  If you hear any scraping or rubbing when trying to play CD's, make sure the position screws are set correctly.
