Problem with my fulled restored Beogram 8002:
I have connected with my Beosound using a NAD riia. It makes a irritating noise because it lacks earth wiring. I have used DIN to phono with earth from the Beogram to riia.
Do any of you have good experiences with this connection?
Cheers, Michael
Where are you taking the earth from? I used a wire from the casing of the DIN plug and that has always worked for all my Beograms when used with a third party amplifier.
Peter
Hey
Could you post me a photo of how?
Hi,
Very easy to connect, The outside metal of the DIN should be the earth, and the central pin opposite of the enclosure of the metal sheet of the DIN should be the common negative for the right and left channel.
So compare to the Naim connection and you should be on the right way.
Hi Hoegh,
Welcome to Beoworld! If you are unsure of how to wire the cable, I have these ready made with the correct earth wiring here (please choose the "internal ground" option unless your pre-amp has a separate earthing screw fitted):-
