@Henrik
Ever thought of swapping the two BL5000’s....right/left -> left/right - in order to have the dark cloth parts as the outer parts.
From an optical point of view that would ‘squeeze’ you less in between the speakers.
Also from a ‘sound point of view’ it probably also would be better.........if that matters in that room (and if they are connected).
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi,
Looking forward to joining the podcast tonight!
@MM, I tried my Beolab 3000s with the cloth outwards and then ended up using them cloth inwards as mine are rear surround speakers and this does help to "squeeze" the stereo image inwards a bit. While this helps for rear speakers, I would agree that the sound stage appears to be a bit wider with the cloth grilles outwards which can help when using them as front speakers.
Please join us on the podcast later on!
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Hi MM
Have thought about it, but the room its in is a really narrow room, so if i swap them around its like the "bass" is to boomy, thats why i have them mounted like this....
There is probably 10 cm from the speaker to the wall on each side.
Hope you'll join tonights session
Alright that explains it - just wanted to know.....but still, it would look better, when we see you in the studio ;-)
Sure, but I’ll have to watch a bit ‘delayed’ (if YT allows for that) - have a family to take care of at prime time.
A bit later this evening and the rest tomorrow.
I have no YT account, so I won’t be able to comment online anyway.
Another excellent session yesterday guys, thank you.
Thanks Brian! I had good fun and it's always good to have Steve with us, he's like a Zen master and focuses us
A zen master? I like that!
No-one can keep Willie focused once he has opened the bourbon though....
Thanks for letting me join the podcast, it was great fun as always!
Did another video
