I was able to catch the last few minutes of the podcast live today and it was good as I normally have to watch it on catch up. I replayed some later, and i think what Willie was saying with the BL90s (BL50s) with the IR-Eye and the BR1 is that he uses the mybuttons. I sort of understood that is based on predefined settings in his Avant and I think that's how he gets around being able to do a bit more with the 90s as opposed to solely using the BR1. But maybe I misunderstood. Or perhaps it was set up through the app.
Mikipidia:Just asked Willie again and he said that with mybuttons and an IR eye he’s able to switch presets on his 90’s. I think you need to set available presets per source and the mybuttons should correspond to the presets. He uses spdif for his bs9000 and it works, he said he gets 3 or 4 presets available depending on which br1 you use. We’ll go over it more next sunday if you like? On the one hand, you're always saying how the extra surround speakers make more of a difference than people usually imagine. But on the other hand, you don't have the "localization nightmare" pictured (i.e. rears just off your eardrums and surrounds at your elbow)? I guess Eric has rears tight against the same wall as the sofa. Well, anyway, just a suggestion for a topic.
