I do love my Custom Remote - It can control Lights, Curtains through BeoLink Gateway, I know every BeoOne can do this, but this works with sub-menu's from custom buttons which is great. I do hate the BT model since you can move your menu's around like on the IR version.
I wonder how they do that on the Hotel-versions of the BR One BT? There must be a possibility to do some custom software?

But do you still use your Apple TV, or do you just use the integrated apps?

Mikipidia:I do but only do so atm because of the many speakers in my system, if you have a 5.1 system I would just use the internal apps personally. (Iam figuring out a way to get it done through the tv though)

Congrats Emil! Great setup, close to mine (Harmony CX 77" BL5 plus BL3 back/BL4 ceiling.) I still have a JVC projector from my old Beoliving setup, you may still miss the big sreen. 77" is awsome, but I already startet investigating how a 88" OLED would fir into my setup...
I did a brief test to hook up my blu ray player HDMI audio only out to the Harmony and have the video output of the Blu Ray feed into the projector. worked fine. No delay in audio vs video. so also a potential upgrade.

I’m interested in your thoughts on the difference in sound quality from the 5 & 3 jumping from older BVs to Avant to Eclipse to Harmony. I have the same speaker setup but connected to an older BV11-55 and I’m wondering how much better the 5.0 experience might get with a newer TV?
Mikipidia:Ofcourse, but this one only works when an apple tv is involved in the chain, because it’s omnidirectional in it’s hdmi path. I think i found another, more expensive one, that possibly could work with just the tv alone but I haven’t bought or tested that one yet(that one is directional. Just so you understand so do you have an aptv? And do you still want the link? Ps thanks for watching

Hi Miki,
I have been following your 7.1 dolby stream adventures very closely as I I went through similar EDID issues with my previous beosystem4 setup that resulted in me getting a special firmware version from B&O. Beovisions that don't correctly identify their sound capabilities via EDID is obviously an ongoing issue for B&O!
I will soon be taking delivery of a 77 GX harmony, 4x 18s, and repurposing 4x 14sats and a sub in a 5.1.4 setup (obviously upscaling sound via the trueimage processor). From listening to the podcast I thought you had installed the EDID manager between the TV and the soundcentre thereby impacting all sound from the tv and its connected sources to the soundcentre. Based on your comment above I'm no longer sure that is the case.
Would you mind documenting out exactly how you have installed the EDID manager and what it currently achieves for you?

I did upgrade from a Beosystem 3 with a BV4-50 and BL7.4 as center speaker to the Harmony, for a couple of month I had Stage with a LG C9 65" before I could convince myself to invest big dollars again into a TV from B&O.
From a BS3 to the Harmony it is a HUGE step upwards in audio quality. No mistake! But unfortunately could not comment on the other upgrades of older systems already based on the the design of the Beosystem 4 forward. nut Miki potenielly could as he owned an eclipse before.
