Hi guys and gals,
I did my Beoplay Portal video with an Dolby Atmos example in it.

Do you stereo or surround sound most of the time? Let us know!

Kind of a shame that you did not ask Lyle (Clarke) some questions on the Moment directly.....now that he was in the chat.
He might have been able to tell more (as far as he is allowed to).

Re: @Lyle 's question (5/9): Heck yes, I use DLNA: It's the only way to get the BeoSound 1 (or 2) to "just play stuff" from your own music library when you walk by and tap on its top. Not join Network Link, not stream some TuneIn station, but rather use the app once (at a time far in the past) to load an entire Genre, shuffle, and never have to fiddle around thereafter: Just tap the top. Tap again when you leave. You cannot do this with AirPlay2, nor Chromecast, because the servers don't support the long-term connection. E.g. iTunes (or the newer Music), once you tap to pause, you cannot un-pause thereafter -- until you pick up the iOS device (or the computer running iTunes) to start playback again. And despite using the BeoSound for some other playback in the interim, the DLNA queue persists so tap-to-play picks up right where it left off!
I totally agree, it's great that it's there and the B&O die hards use it all the time. I really hope they keep it in future products and don't see streaming only as the future. I always say that it's better to own your music and rent it for convenience if desired. But if the internet is out at least you still have a music source!
Begging the colonel's pardon, merely owning (so-called) one's own music is not the point: Rather, the point is that the DLNA server supports specific behavior (restart / state-save) in the [ASE 2] gen devices which is not available for AirPlay2 & Chromecast. One can stream from one's own library using iTunes (or Apple Music.app), Audirvana, Roon, whatever, via AirPlay2 -- and that's the very excuse B&O will use to stop working on the DLNA client, just as it was the excuse that Spotify Connect was no longer necessary to support. And just as wrong.
None the less it is fair to ask the question: how many (of the B&O or potential B&O users) are using DLNA for music playback?
We know that some do (my files on the NAS hardly get used nowadays) - but the important thing for B&O will be how many.....actually.
I’d advocate that they keep the support DLNA based playback - but I doubt that they will do further development for it in the future.
Mikipidia: Btw the spotify thing is not on b&o. That was spotify not allowing b&o to use it in the way it did. Spotify got mad that a single stream could be shared amongst devices (nl) through the house in that way and pulled the license.

Not sure what you mean there.
‘The Spotify thing’ was the issue with the integrated Spotify software on the Beosound 5. Spotify changed their software in a way that B&O (and a lot of other companies with their devices) could not integrate on the Beosound 5 platform - why they did it, I don’t know.
Spotify Connect can certainly be distributed in a NL environment.....I do it all the time.
The receiving device must however, support Spotify Connect.
One example below - this works with the Sound Center too......
And Spotify Connect is one of the features on the Mozart platform - I assume that they think that Spotify (Connect)has a future on the B&O devices.

If it hasn't been answered definitively by then, here's one for the "Vlad The Installer" portion of your program: Can we eliminate echo among BeoVisions? The question seems tailor-made (older equipment, Atlona matrix) for Willie.
