I am sorry if I put this thread in the wrong forum. I just bought a Beocenter 9300 and RL 1000 speakers.
I used to have a Harman Kardon set with Infinity Delta speakers.
I must say, the B&O design is stunning but the sound quality is realy below average. And I wonder, I want to ask you, if this is related to the plastic RL 1000 speakers or the amplifier of B&O. Before I change the speakers, I want to be sure.
Realy, in this combination I have now, the sound quality is below average. And that is an understatement.
To resume; is it worth to buy better speakers or not?
I think so too, but is the amplifier worth it? I meen, is the poor quality a result of the speakers or the amplifier, or both?
Thanks mate!
I have used CX 100 speakers and a Cona subwoofer with my Beocenter 9000 for years. I had the speakers refoamed and rebuilt and they sound absolutely lovely. I don’t know if you can find those but, for a room no larger than 20‘ x 20‘, they are ideal. I use of Beosound Essence Mark I to stream the music and it works beautifully. Steve at Sounds Heavenly supplied all the cabling. Might be worth your time to look into. The Beolink 1000 remote can control all of it.
The new powered Beocreate with Raspberry Pi may also be an interesting experiment for using a rebuilt pair of CX 100 speakers, too.
What about the CX100; would that be an improvement?

Hi: The 9500/9300 series out of the box sounded OK. I never found the sound offensive. The amp sounded a little bright and harsh to my ears. I lived with the sound for several years.
Member Menahem here has come up with a series of upgrades to the components in the signal path and power supply that really makes the 9500/9300 sound fantastic.
Here's a partial description of what he does:

He can upgrade the unit for you. Well worth it since the improvements are worthy of the aesthetics of the unit.
