Hi everyone
I have a Beogram 1202 that I am slowly getting back to life. Recently I was lucky enough to get a hold of some parts from Beogram 3000 that were missing in my 1202. Most importantly, I got the dreaded cueing arm that was missing from my 1202.
The cueuing arm fits perfectly!
Now, the operation. With the allen screw (part 69) located behind the counterweight, I managed to set the correct positioning of the needle before it is lowered. This works fine.
The problem however is with record end. Some records end before hitting the run-out groove. This happens mostly with records that don't have a lot of the run-out groove. This results that the record end function is engaged when the needle is still tracking music.
Can the record end function somehow be adjusted?

Status update.
I managed to tweak the record end setting by adjusting the tonearm's angle on the safety coupling mechanism via the allen screw behind the tonearm. It was quite a cumbersome procedure because you have to unscrew the counterweight to access the allen screw.
By meddling with the tonearm angle on the safety coupling I screwed up the positioning of the tonearm upon record start. I tweaked that parameter with eccentrik B. While record selector is set to 30, the needle should position itself 148,25 - 148,5mm away from the center of the spindle.
So yes, this works now. There is one more problem with the record end. When the record end sequence starts, the tonearm is nuged rather violently back away from the record label. I imagine this cannot be good for the needle nor records in the long run. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I know this is an old thread, but did you or anyone else find a solution to this?
check the condition of the tooth at the end of the actuating lever on the large cam lifting gear.The lever is pushed towards the grey gear on the turntable spindle by the advancing pu arm.If the lever does'nt engage cleanly,it can cause the lever to "bounce" and jolt the pu arm before it has lifted.
Also,check the alignment of the arm.It should be parallel with the right side of the deck when at rest.Loosen the screw under the arm at the back to achieve this,then set the arm dropping point with the
in/out cams above.

Thanks Nick,
I dissembled the cam gear mechanism and put it back together and now it works again. When taking it apart there was a loud click so something was out of alignment, probably caused by me hitting the pickup arm pretty hard while it was playing. Lesson: Never put the lid on while playing.
Now I just need to get the arm parallel again, that is now out alignment.
