I recently bought a BeoGram 1900 and would like to use it directly with my Libratone Zipp Classic speaker. I'm fully aware this will not be HiFi sound, but it's a way for me to enjoy my old records and the feeling of handling the music physically as opposed to streaming from Spotify...
Am I right in thinking the following set-up would work?
1. Beogram 1900 connected to Rega Fono Mini A2D Phono preamp with 5 pin DIN to phono cable
2. Rega preamp connected to Libratone speaker with USB cable
Many thanks,
Jesper
Hi Jesper,
Welcome to Beoworld! Yes, this should work well. The important thing is to ensure that the adapter cable that connects the Beogram to the pre-amp is correctly wired and shielded, to avoid noise. A cable like this one is ideal:-

A twin RCA to minijack cable will then connect the pre-amp to the 3.5mm input of the speaker:-
