Hello everyone,
I have a Beosound 4 and a KEF PSW2010 subwoofer that I would like to connect to the Beosound. What would be the best way for me to do that and is there something I should know about connecting a non BO sub to the Beosound?
Thank you,Peter.
Contact our sponsor Steve from sounds heavenly he can help you out
I decided to try to connect the sub directly to the AUX OUT with RCA cables and seems to have done the trick. So there was no need for any specialized cables.
Thanks Chucky!
Hi pezti, welcome to Beoworld! Connecting the subwoofer to the Aux Out sockets on the Beosound 4 will mean that you lose any volume contorl of the subwoofer via the B&O remote. If you use this cable instead in any spare Powerlink socket on the Beosound or on one of the speakers, you will have full remote control of the subwoofer along with your other speakers:-

If you don't have a spare Powerlink socket, simply add this splitter as well to give you an additional socket to connect the cable above:-

Thanks Petur,
I will get this built over the weekend ready to post to you on Monday morning.
Hi Steve,
Have just ordered one of your original cables /5 metres through a Dutch reseller.
Was thinking about connecting my Yamaha 600W active sub via double tulip to Beovision9 sub Powerlink connector.
But am I correct to read that I could also connect to powerlink socket on one of my beolab1?
That would be much easier and safe me a lot of wiring headaches. Please let me know, because then I might change my order to a shorter cable.
Many thanks,
Jeroen
Hi Jeroen,
Thanks for your purchase. If you are using the speakers in a surround sound setup, then please link the subwoofer to a separate socket on the TV for best results. However, if you only have the two Beolab 1 speakers, then you could link the sub to a spare Powerlink socket under one of the speakers instead.
OK, clear Steve. Will link to the sub socket on the Beovision9 for best (5.1) results. And keep order as is. Thanks for the quick response!
