Hi everyone, I have a pair of B&O speakers - Beovox MC120.2 - that I’m trying to figure out what to do with and I’m looking for some advice. The speakers are in excellent condition except for the foam on the woofers is completely rotted out. I want to sell the speakers, but I’m trying decide whether I should endeavor to fix the foam before I post them here and/or on eBay. If I try to fix them, it will be my first time, so I’m kind of nervous. I don’t want to ruin them. Is it hard to repair foam? I’m generally handy and exacting. How much would they be worth fixed vs. as-is? I can post photos if that’s helpful. Thanks!!!
Hi.
I think you should definitely refoam these.
I got 2 pairs of these speakers, but no time to refoam.
I´ve done it before (Beovox S50 & S80.2) and it is a joy to tell your friends you´ve done it yourself.
There is plenty of videos on YT how to do it.
Of course the value of the speakers increases.

Good luck
I don't want to sound too cautious, but I had a similar dilemma, whether to refoam myself or not, and online I've found several stories about how you can butcher the job if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I usually choose to play it safe so I gave it to a professional. The MC120.2 have only one woofer each, so in relation to their usual price after reforming, even with the cost of a professional refoam you should still be OK -- that's my guess.
I refoamed mine and they sound fantastic, it wasn't too hard to do either.
Hi, the re-foaming went well! I think I did a great job if I do say so myself ;)
Do you have grilles and stands for yours? The ones I have do not have these parts and I would like to restore them. Let me know if you do and if they are for sale. Thanks.
