Hi all,
I just purchased a pair of Beolab 8000. I hooked them up to my Yamaha CR-1020's Pre out and they didn't sound good - people have been talking about the Beolab 8000s lack of bass but there's no way they could sound this bad.
I took one of the woofers out - see the picture - and here's what I found. The lower magnet had come off. I checked the 3 other woofers and they were also off or lose.
Do I just place them correctly again or do I glue them on?
Tak,

Man, that woofer looks terrible! Did someone drop the speakers?
If you manage to glue them in place you'll notice a considerable improvement in sound...
Some time ago I glued the magnets of the engine starter of my BMW bike using high temperature silicon. It should work for you as well...
Thank you - who knows if they were dropped during shipping but it’s concerning that all 4 woofers have the same problem.
I put them in place without glueing them and the sound was all of a sudden really nice.
I will glue them today - it’s easy to see where the magnets were because I can see what’s left of the old glue.
So if anybody have older Beolab 8000 you may check if your rear woofer magnet is in the right place.
Thanks
