Hi everyone. I would like to know what would be today the best option for connecting my phones (android/OS) Laptop (Mac) and ipads to my best friend 9000 (connection on AUX) ? I intend to use my spotify account . What about the quality of the sound ? Thanks for your help.
Hi baba,
Welcome to Beoworld! I would suggest an Apple Airport Express or Google Chromecast Audio for high quality wireless sound that you can control from your Mac or phone. either of these devices will connect to the Aux socket of the 9000 with this cable:-

Please set the Mac/phone volume to maximum to get a good, clear sound through the 9000.
Kind regards, Steve.

I can also recommend the chromecast. I have one connected to my BS9000, and it sounds fine. It is a little fiddly at times (like almost all wireless devices), but for the price I guess we don't get perfection.
Or, use the same cable that you would plug into the chromecast (din to mini-jack) and plug it into the headphone jack of the android or mac (do mac's still have these?). This would not be wireless and may not sound as good (depending on the quality of the phone's audio output), but it also doesn't require wifi or a $35 chromecast audio.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the support I got.
I did actually connect a chromecast with a mini-jack on one side and the special BO cable to the Aux port of the BS 9000 I went smoothly through all the installation software of the Chromecast on my phone (on which i have spotify).
However i could not switch to the AUX input on my unit, This option is only available on the top of the removable command board of the unit and not on the remote control. Nothing happens when i try to switch to AUX on the board.
Is it a BO issue or a Chromecast issue ?
am lost now I do not think I did anything wrong there. Your input is much appreciated !!
Thank you in advance
Baba
Hi Baba,
To listen to the Chromecast, simply press "A.Aux" on the B&O keypad, or select this on a Beo4 remote control by pressing the "LIST" button until the display shows "A.AUX", then pressing "GO". You may need to add A.AUX to the LIST function on the remote if this isn't already shown.
Please set the Chromecast volume to maximum when connecting to the B&O system – this is normal when using a portable music player with a home audio system due to the low output levels produced by the Chromecast.
