Hi all,

sadly I found a new software bug for my BS2.

Connected via line-in to whatever device Chromecast doesn't work like it should:

After having played via line-in, there is no way for the BS2 to connect to Chromecast again and play.

No Chromecast showing in the app.

Connecting via Google Home or Qobuz works, but no music is playing, no sound from BS2.

The only way to get it working is to unplug the BS2. Then reconnect and Chromecast works.

Until line-in playing is used for the next time.

And I need to unplug and reconnect, the whole thing again.

Which is quite uncomfortable and time consuming.

I have the latest software 1.16.19909.162640994.

Tried the same thing with my A6 and it works flawlessly, no issues.

So this must be a BS2 software bug, the app works fine with the A6.

If I would have access to it I would try to clear the BS2 cache ...

but there's no way for it here.

So, before connecting Beocare, does anybody know a workaround for this issue?

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thanks for reading anyway,

Ulrike

It must be a Google issue, because I can move between Airplay, line in, and TuneIn on my BS2 without issue. I can run a test tomorrow with chromecast and see if I have the same issues. I just never use that functionality.

Thanks for your response, curious if you will get the same?

But Google issue, hmm, with my A6 it all works like a charm.

Definitely need Chromecast for playing Qobuz on B&O devices, it's not integrated.
