Dear friends,
My beosound1' s PCB2 is dead due to my wrong action. I desperately need the PCB2 spare parts. Actually, 110V or 220V are both ok - because we can do setting in the PCB2 board. Anyone can give me the contact or link for this spare parts:
PCB02 Module
* 220V Version:
8006898 PCB02, SMPS - Switch mode power supply,
type 2581, 2582, 2585, 2587, 2590
* 110V Version:
8006899 PCB02, SMPS - Switch mode power supply, type 2583, 2584, 2586
Many thanks!
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
I hope you did not give up your search yet.
I had the same problem, as I bought a non-working BS1 for pocket change, initally planning for it to be a parts donor.
After a bit of research I discovered that the BS1 uses the same power supply as the B&O DVD1 MkII DVD-Player.
Where I live these can be had for about 30-60€ every day, as no one wants a first Gen DVD Player anymore. In comparison: B&O charges about 200€ for a new BS1 PCB2.
!!! Be sure to get the MkII Version of the DVD1, as the older, more common Version (Type 4620) has completely different internals, including the power supply !!!!
MkII Versions are Type 4621-4627
I hope this helps you and your Beosound 1.
Best wishes
Carlo
PS: If somebody needs a DVD1 MkII without a Power Supply, e-mail me!
I think I am having the same power issues with my Beosound 9000 MK1. Do you have a picture of the power supply unit that will need to be replaced ?
Many thanks.
Christian
BS9000 and BS1 have different powersupplies.
The BS9000’s are repairable.
Hi, my wife blew the powersource for my beosound 1 as it was a 120w version, if I buy the B&O DVD1 MkII DVD-Player as you mention and eschange the powersource and as long nothing else is destroyed would it work?
thanks!
You mean that it is a 120V version? Tried connecting on the 230V net? Then only a fuse needs to be replaced and probably a jumper removed.But yes, a DVD 1 mk2 PSU is the same. More difficult to find than the mk1 version.
Mine was in a powersurge due to an defective power outlet. (the seller said the same outlet killed her laptop charger soon afterwards)
Changed it for a DVD 2 MKII PSU and it worked again.
BUT: For some reason the IR reception was also damaged. Same thing happend to another member if I remember correctly. So if you want to use a remote the Display/IR board probably has to be changed also.
Good Luck
