Hello!  Forgive me if this is not possible or not advisable...   Using a BeoSystem 3, would I be able to use  a Beo passive amp plugged into the BS3 to power a pair of Beovox P30 or P45 as rear surround speakers in a 5.1 set up?  Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes. It is possible. Fully wired powerlink cable from BS3 to MCL2P/Beolink Passive/ML/MCL Converter necessary.

Hi Tucker,

Yes kallasr is correct, a fully wired Powerlink mk.2 cable must be used to correctly trigger the Passive:-

https://soundsheavenly.com/traders/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/powerlink-mk-2-compatible-black-8-pin-din-cable-with-fully-wired-8-cores

You may need to turn up the level of the rear speakers in the Beosystem menu, as by default they will be at a lower volume than your other active speakers.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve, there's something up with your website. I get an access denied error trying to look at any B&O bits on your store. Didn't try anything else.
