Hi,

One of my Beolab 4000 Mk 1's stopped working recently and when i play anything the red light turns yellow/orange rather than green, but no sound. Does anyone have any advice on what is potentially wrong? Or what the light colour means?

Initially the speaker started rapidly switching on and off like it was shorting or had a loose cable. I switched it off suspecting it was a serious fault once i ruled out a faulty cable. After reading some of the threads on this forum i discovered the foam degradation issue and carefully removed all the foam and cleaned any residue off the circuit board. There was not any serious foam residue on the circuits so not so sure that could be the issue.

Any thoughts on a possible issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
