I have a Beogram 1700 that needs a new signal cable as it had been cut very short - I think for a RCA conversion as the pins were different to stock.

Does anyone know a source of the correct cable (ie shielded signal wires and then a separate shield).

I tried using an off the shelf DIN cable that had 4 cores and a shield (so joining 2 of the cores for signal ground) but I get a lot of hum.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

The exact cable layup used in the older Beograms isn't available new as far as I am aware, but there are some very close matches to this that are still available.

If you are confident with soldering the cable into the Beogram yourself, please drop me a line via my sponsor link below and I will be pleased to advise on the cable options available.  If you prefer to get a repairer to do the work for you, I can recommend AVA Services in Crawley, who are approved B&O repairers.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
