Hi,

how do I connect my iPhone to a Beocenter 9300 to play music from the iPhone through my Beocenter?

Had a look in the archives without success, I assume it must have been discussed a few times?

Thanks

Hi Beiber39,

This cable will allow you to connect an iPhone to the Aux/Tape 2 socket on the back of your B&O system

https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/minijack-to-aux-in-ipod-to-beosound-beomaster-beocenter-using-aux-din-socket

Please set the iPhone volume to maximum when connecting to the B&O system – this is normal when using a portable music player with a home audio system due to the low output levels produced by the iPhone.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

You can also go through the aux to a wireless streaming device or Bluetooth receiver.

Hi,

Apple Airport Express or Google Chromecast Audio are good ways to get wireless music from the iPhone to the B&O system, as these both use wi-fi for the best wireless signal quality and range.  The same cable (as mentioned above) also works with both of these devices.

Kind regards, Steve.

If you want to add remote control with your Beo4 or BL1000 add the Apple interface:

Using Steve's cables!

Thaks Silou!

I also use a Beo4 to PC controller from this site, this way I can have an old computer connected to my Beovision 8 TV and operate it from my Beo4 remote.

Kind regards, Steve.

Apparently, even better than using the headphone jack on an iPhone, it would be better to use a 30-pin to USB & 3.5mm jack (for iPhones < iPhone 5) as source. Quality would be better, I still need to test it (cables ordered)

Like this : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07X123911/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As from iPhone 5, you can use a lightning splitter : it splits into 3.5 mm jack (for AUX input) & lightning (for charging)

Like this : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07YTLW74W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And then connect one of these to the Steve's well known cables.

I agree. The AirPort Express has a very good DAC (IMHO). You could also use something like the Beosound Core (which is what I have) and that way you can use either the B&O app or any other app from your iphone or Android phone.  Both need additional audio connectors to work...

The allows for Bluetooth if you need that and the AirPort Express does not.

B&O in my life 😊:

  • Beolab 8002 + Beolab 2 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Office)
  • Beolab 6000 + Beolab 11 + Beosound Core with Essence Remote (Bedroom)
  • Beoplay A9 Mk2 (Living Room)
  • Beosound 1 with wireless dock (Portable)
  • Beosound Balance (Dining)
  • Beoplay H95 (Focused listening, travel)
  • Beoplay H9 (3rd gen) (retired)
  • Beoplay P6 (Portable)
  • Beotime wall clock (hallway entrance)
  • BMW X5 50i with B&O Audio Package (Commute/drive)
