I am the otherwise happy owner of am Eclipse and a pair of H9i headphones.

But since B&O chose to not add bluetooth connection in the Eclipse, my dealer sent me a bluetooth transmitter. (Marmitek boomboom)

It fits perfectly inside the Eclipse, so it’s not that big of a problem that it’s an external transmitter.

My problem is that it’s simply not good enough, when it’s quiet on screen, a how a low hissing noise in the headphones, and that i can not live with, it’s freakin annoying.

So my question is to you guys, does anyone know of a bluetooth transmitter that is actually of a quality worth buying?

Thanks in advance.

This one I can recommend:

Avantree Oasis

But:

I don't know how it works with No-APTX-Code for low latency headphones?

You might get a delayed sound.

Anyway, if your Eclipse allows for it, using a digital and not analogue connection would be best sounding =》 optical via toslink, if possible.

Thank you very much.

Have you got one yourself?

I’m located in Denmark, I’m gonna try to find a dealer with a return policy, so that i can try one out.

The missing Aptx on the H9i’s is a mystery, but even tho’ the transmitter i have is not very good soundwise, there is no delay, so I’ll give this one a try.

As to your advice on the “optical out” solution, I’ll try it out, but do you really believe the DAC in a 60$ BT transmitter is better than the one in my Eclipse?

Again, thank you very much for your answer, i appreciate it very much Yes - thumbs up

Fidse,

yes I have one and for me it works fine. But my first try was a failure like yours - sound wasn't bad but pairing and stability a constant disaster. So I returned it. This one I can recommend and I hope your experience will be positive like mine.

The missing aptX is not a mystery, because there are additional licensing fees involved, but a cost saving measure of the company.

According to cables and connections - I'm no expert on this but isn't this device just a transmitter not including a dac? Digital to analogue conversion will be done by the built in dac of your headphones. As far as I know.

Optical cables, not susceptible to electrical problems such as ground  loops and RF interference, are an advantage.

Since you will get all types of cables delivered with the transmitter, I suggest to try it out what sounds best.

Regards,

Ulrike

Can you please explain which cables are used, connected to which output of eclipse? And how the settings are; I would like to install a transmitter myself...
