Playmaker mk1 using dnla and b and o app

Hi,

Was wondering if it is possible to use the b and o app as the app for streaming music from my dlna nas drive to my playmaker. I can see my nas drive in the b and o app but cant seem to figure out how to get it to stream to the playmaker. Anyone have any info on this please.

You can’t!

Only thing you can do is to reach the configutation page of the PM.

Useless for some - for those, who have some or several NL devices it can be handy only to use one app.

Personally I find it a bit odd, that the PM is presented along with the NL products.

It kind of gives the impression, that it can be used in a similar way.

On the other hand - maybe they have something up their sleeves?

I guess a new firmware for the PM could allow you (and me) to send ‘DLNA stuff’ to it from the app.

However, that will not be very high up on their priority list, I am sure.

For time being you will have to use an app like the 8Player - or similar.

Thanks very much your you informative response, I too agree with you I would very much like to be able to use the playmaker through the app. However I guess I will just have to put up with it until or if they ever think about prolonging the intergration of older equipment with newer products which was always in the past advertised as being able to do. Maybe we playmaker users can get together and push b and o to include our product into the app for use directly with a dnla.

Until then ill keep my fingers crossed that a future app upgrade includes us.
