I just acquired a fully functional CD3300 that I am trying to connect to my older Beomaster 2000 receiver. The CD3300 has a 7 pin DIN that matches the 7 pin input DIN on the receivers TP input.
I understand that the reason the CD3300 came with a 7 pin DIN was for the BM3000 receiver's Datalink which, of course, my BM2000 does not have.
B & O in Denmark informed me that the CD3300 should be compatible but unfortunately, even though the CD3300 opens and spins CD's, I am not getting any sound. Does anyone have suggestions...is the datalink 7 pin DIN connector an issue?
With thanks in advance
Keith
Yes.It's a Beogram, so the Beomaster will switch to the Phono input (away from the Tape input) when you press PLAY.If the two outer pins can be unscrewed (they can on many but not all), do that (and keep the pins in a safe place). If not you must use an adapter, that disables the two pins.
Beomaster 2000 also has datalink.Beomaster 3000 has remote control which Beomaster 2000 doesn't.

Spot on Martin...many thanks for the advice.
Pins are out and the CD plays well. I must have a poor connection also as I have to fiddle with the connector to get two channels of sound. For the most part it's fine just a little annoying.
Very much appreciate your good advice.
Sincerely
