I think some of the vintage B&O amplifiers can be used as a preamp to drive a large amp. Does anyone have suggestion of which amp has the capability of being a preamp and which one would be the best? I’m looking to drive JBL L7’s with a 200w B&K 2 channel power amp.

Hi usamike10,
Welcome to Beoworld!
As well as the Beomaster 5000 which Saint Beogrowler mentioned, any B&O music system with Powerlink sockets (ie. anything from around 1990 onwards) can be used as a pre-amp to drive a regular power amp by adding this cable to one of the Powerlink outputs:-

This gives you a huge range of choices, including Beomasters 3500, 4500, 6500, 7000, Beocenters 2, 9300, 9500, Beosounds 3000, Ouverture, 3200, 4, 9000, Beomaster 5, etc. with full control from the B&O remote.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Wow, thank you both! I’m just discovering all this cool B&O stuff, I hope it sounds as good as it looks.
