Hi BeoWorld.

When i tried turning on my Beosystem 2500 this morning, the volume fell from 28 to 0 and stayed at 0. Therefore the radio felt quite useless .

I tried the AUX-input too but the same thing occurred.

When I tried to push the other commands on the controlpanel of the Beosystem, it wouldn't respond, and kept showing the volume level on the small screen. As if somebody was pointing a remote at it with the volume down-button pushed down.

Then I picked up my Beo4 and tried using that. With the Beo4 I could turn up the volume but I had to keep pushing the volume button in order to not let the Beosystem get all down to volume 0 again....

Do any of you have any suggestions to what the diagnosis would be? Of course I tried pluggin the unit out of the socket. I even tried disconnecting the speakers. Nothing worked

Hi

Could it be a button on the remote or a button on the control panel that remain pressed?

Did you try to remove the batteries from the remote?

This is embarrassing... I will leave the thread here on the board as a joke for the rest...

My BeoTime in the bedroom was lying on the volume button.

This is quite stupid... WhistleWhistle

Imagine how embarrassed you could be if, like me, you’ve contacted the B&O support as well Surprise
