How can I copy configuration from one Beo5 to an other empty Beo5 controler ? I have configuration tool software but do not know how to load existing  configuration from the first Beo5.;

Thank you

Sorry, that is not possible. You cannot get a configuration back from an already loaded Beo5. You need to start over from scratch.

Was the Beo5 Configuration originally done by a B&O Dealer?

It is possible!

you'll need of course the old configuration file of your old Beo 5 remote.

Than you have to use the new Beo 5 remote with the config tool and set up a simple configuration (e.g. one room one product) so that the config tool can generate a config file for the new remote and you have to save it. Close the config software.

Afterwards you can copy the old configuration file of the old remote into a folder and rename it to the exact name of the NEW config file of the NEW Beo 5 remote. As far as I remember the file names consist of the remotes serial number. Copy the renamed file into the file folder (somewhere like C:\Bang & Olufsen\config tool...) where the simple config file of your new Beo 5 is found. You have to look up where the software is installed on your computer. Replace your created Beo5 file with the renamed file of the old Beo5. When you start the config tool after this procedure with the new Beo 5 you should see your complete old configuration of your old remote (just select the appropriate serial number if it doesn't work automatically) and can edit and transfer it to your new remote.

Thank you very much for your detailled answer, but I do not have yhe old configuration file - I just have the old Beo5 configured remote.

Anyway, your message will be very helpfull anyway

You're welcome. Was your remote programmed by a dealer? Maybe he has a configuration file of your old remote or it is stored on a Bang & Olufsen server!?
