Hello,

I recently got a beogram 1001 but without a needle (it does still have a cartridge).

What's the easiest and cheapest way to fix this problem?

Sorry if it has been asked before i didn't see it.

Thanks a lot.

Oh, it has been asked before.
Lots of people before you wanted design, performance and excellence cheap.  Laughing

This is the only sentence, where Bang & Olufsen, needles and cheap go together.
Why cheap? Because you are not serious about this record player, the sound coming from it and your records?
And what is cheap to you?

Good needles cost a bit. Good B&O needles cost a little more.
Look at Ebay for good quality (read: NOS) cartridges (or needles/stylii if this is all you need).
Even better, look at the dealers and/or cartridge repairers, there's a good handful of them now.

A re-tip to an SP cartridge is in the 100-200 pounds range (depending on the type of tip chosen) , which in my opinion is not too bad.
The cheapest solution is to buy a close-to-worn-out cartridge on Ebay, listen to it and either regret or send it in for retip'ing.
