Leslie:

Ebay Germany

I've never seen that model before. It reminds me of my very first turntable, that my father gave me when I was 8-9 years old.
It was an 'Aristona' - the arm looked very much like that. He had bought it in his youth and stored it in the cellar, where I found it.
I had it until I bought my very first B&O at the age of 14...It was a Beogram 1203. I saw it in the window by the local dealer - and I knew that I just had to have it. And then I was hooked...Smile

We tend to be that, hooked I mean, but the look of the cutie reminds me, except for the wood chassis, of a Philips. Maybe Martin can enlighten us.

Yes - I have seen a Philips with a similar arm. And I think that Aristona actually was a Philips company...

It's a B&O PE 606.

It was also available in a version with the round B&O tonearm, which is quite rare and collectable.
Furthermore, it was also available as part of the building furniture series :

yes, very nice piece of B&O history...

This guy (moseskov) has very nice and big B&O collection. He is selling every week 15-20 B&O vintage devices on ebay. Last week I bought one of them but didn't receive it until now. Still waiting ...

And I've just won it for 36€.  I'll see what it's like when it arrives.  Another Beogram for the collection!

I was considering to bid on this Beogram too, it is vary rare but I should had paid more for shipping as for a beogram...

Did anybody buy something from this ebay user / seller?

It seems to be a nice big B&O collection behind him... Any experience with him?

He is a business seller with countless Ebay seller IDs left behind.

Even though this Beogram has a german Perpetuum Ebner drive (like all PE 606) and this version
has the Ronette tonearm rather than the B&O, leaving not much actual B&O content apart from the logo, I
would have expected it to go MUCH higher.
It was one-year only, 1959-60 season, so quite rare.

Congratulations Dave, nice to know it ended up in caring hands.  Yes - thumbs up

Well, I'm here too.  Laughing
I've met him only once or twice. His workers in the store a couple of times more, mainly when picking up
things that others bought and wanted me to restore before shipping on to them.
That's about it.

I'm sure, others can tell you lots more.

I have been following some of his items on the bay, He is not a collector, he do this for business, I dont want to give him a bad name or pull down his ratings, but I just have a bad gut feeling when I see his descriptions and items, I may be wrong, but I have had this feeling on more Ebay items, and until now it did me good except for my BM 4400Laughing

I have bought from him before several times with no problems.  I was watching it from the first day it was listed (before Leslie blew the whistle and alerted the B&O community) so I thought it would go higher than the miserly 36€.  My B&O room is also coming along nicely so I have to now find space for it!

Sorry Dave for blewing the whistle. Surely you were not happy when I did that because of more competitors/biddersBig Smile 36E is  a good bargain...

Thx for your info about him. It sounds not so bad.

I bought one item from him and I am still waiting for it. Or I would rather say my Beolab 608 is waiting for his 50th birthday present ;-)

Little bit impatient :-)
