Hi there,

I'm new to the Forum and BEOWorld and I'm very impressed about what I've found here.

I've recently purchased an Beomaster 5000 and a set of S75s. They work great except I cannot control the tone on the Beomaster since I do not have the MCP, and that sucks.

I searched a bit and could not find anything relevant, so there goes my 1000k$ question: is there any alternative to the MCP 5000 for controlling the tone (bass, treble) and balance functions on a Beomaster 5000? I was thinking about some App (iOS, Android) on a mobile device with an IR port, or any other type of remote.

Thanks in advance,

John

I can't think of anything.  There's a hand-held Terminal 5000 remote but that's just for functions needed on a daily basis

MCP 5000s come up for sale semi-frequently here.

They are half the beauty of the whole system in my opinion. $100 well spent.

I’m pretty sure there is no alternative. On the opposite end, I even tried the MCP5000 with a Flirc to control my computer with the MCP but the Flirc could not recognize it.
