I have a Beotime that I would like to control the bedroom lights with. Which light dimmer (LC2, Bosscom, Lutron) has the best coverage in terms of signal receiving. I am asking the question due to locality of socket and beotime mount.Thanks.
Beosound 8, Beotime, Beocom 4, Beo 5, Lutron Rania, MacBook 15" (Mid 2015), iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, B&O Play H3, Beolit 12, Form 2, A8 Headphones, B&O Play A1, B&O Essence
I have an lc2 and some lutrons. Both work perfectly from my beo4/5. Given the choice between them I would go for the lutron for placement. A fringe benefit of the lutron is bulbs last for ever (so far) because it turns the light on gradually.
Chris you may want to read about this new Philips system that works via your iPhone. To be sold exclusively through the Apple store for the first four months...

I am wanting the lights to work with my beotime.....
I am thinking LC2 for the lights in the bedroom, any ideas why I should go for it.....
Thanks.
Are you wanting to controll lights or lamps or both? How far away will the switch be from the beotime? I'm asking as I have a lutron dimmer and a boss dim so I could check range for you. Cheers

You guys are lucky ... they are not even showing up in the AU store, and the US store just says "ships 1 - 2 months"
BeoNut since '75
Martin,
Not sure if you can see but Beotime is far right and light switch location is far left
Another issue is the Beotime is facing the wrong way - forward I suppose to light switch
Hope this helps!
Chris
I'd go for a lutron dimmer that will work no problem. That's not very far at all.
Hope that helps
I bought the HUE system. Works very well but there are issues they need to address. First, if a timer is set so that lights will turn on/off, it only works once. Second, if one scene is set for multiple lights to be on, and another set for just a single light, switching to the single light scene does not turn off any lights. Thus all lights must be turned off and then the single scene light turned on.

Hey,
Had the same idea and bought a Bosscom dimmer. Not happy with it as it is extremely unreliable. It may work for three days and then stops responding without a reason. You have to take it off the power and kind of reset.
Other issue: when it reponds it first flashes to 100% and then to the set level. Very annoying to wake up that way
Last issue: sometimes on activating manually is starts flickering the light.
The bulb is a standartd lightbulp
Complained, they send me another, same issue. i gave up.
Concerning the reach of the beotime I cannot complain! my bedroom and the boscom dimmer can be seen here:

As this lamp is connected to normalpower outlet, my dream solution would be if STB makes a box to put the Rania b&O dimmer in it. I have also a graphik eye and those work magnificent.
Hope this helps

Nice room - nice setup - must be a great wake up in the morning !
Thanks, there are worse things in life
The stb bracket was needed because of the curtains, and the tilt and turn bracket from B&O did not exist yet. The initial idea was to watch tv from the red chair, but we never did this. Quite happy with the sound of the Bv10-32 as well
