Hi all,

I'm trying to erase the phonebooks on a set of 3 Beocom 6000 phones, but it's not letting me and it's throwing up an error message which reads: Not Base 1. I'm not really sure what this means, or where to go from here. Any ideas anyone? Many thanks.

It sounds like your handsets have been registered to the PSTN same PSTN twice.

A feature of the BeoCom6000 is that it can be registered to multiple bases (e.g. home & work). However it is possible to view the phonebook of the second base but not edit it. If at some point in the past your handsets have been registered to the same PSTN twice it regards it as a seperate base and will not allow you to edit the phonebook.

By re setting the handset to factory status and then registering to the PSTN it should solve the problem and allow you to edit/delete the phonebook.

To reset the handset you need to go access the set up menu in the hnadset, navigate to "re-set handset", then register to the base.

Thanks Opman.

I'll follow your instructions later and give it my best shot.
