mitt problem: jag vill koppla min ouverture till min avant och använda tv:ns högtalare.
jag kopplar min ouverture till avant med masterlink, programmerar via beo4 (A.opt 0, V.opt.2) men det kommer inget ljud.
Det enda som fungerar är om jag kopplar en ljudkabel mellan ouvertures hörlursingång till avantens camcord-ingång, då fungerar det utmärkt!
Vad kan vara fel? ML-kabeln är helt nyinköpt!

Hi,
my problem: I want to connect my ouverture to my avant and use the speakers in the tv.
I connect my ouverture to the avant via masterlin, programme my beo4 (A.opt 0/ V.opt 2) but there's no sound coming from the tv.
The only thing that seems to work is if I connect a sound cable from the earphones-connection to the camcord-connection in the avant, then it suddenly works like a charm!
What could cause this? The ML-cable is brand new!

Thanks for your quick answer! I will go to my local B&O retailer today and try to get another ML cable. Perhaps there are newer and older ones? I'll return with an update on how it went...

I didn't realise that there are several types of ML cable, only PL??
The box says "Masterlink MKII"... is this a clue?
Are the two units in the same room (and powered) when you do the option programming? If so that could be an issue..
I don't think it's a cable problem, unless it's broken of course.

Yes, the two units are in the same room and they are in stand-by when I perform the options. I point the remote towards the avant or ouverture and I see the red light flash on the unit. Still, it does not work...
Right. Could the problem be that the other unit also changes option?
Hmm, I guess you could be right, they stand quite close to each other, within ten feet or so... So, are you suggesting that I should turn one of the units off completely (unplugging it) while performing the options for the other? I'll try that and give you all a report in a few hours.
Went to the B&O shop and they gave me a new cable! Did not work.
And I even disconnected all the cables and started all over again. Still does not work.
The connection has to be broken in either the avant or the ouverture.
I give up.
I still get it to work though, as I stated before, by connecting a sound cable from the headphone-connection in the ouverture to the camera input in the avant (the holes behind the tiny display).
Still, it would have been nice to have been able to connect it with the masterlink, and it keeps bugging me.
But I give up.

Take your Ouverture to your dealer and ask him to connect to an Avant or something that has a ML!
