Apart from the difference in the system, which is the better turntable? The BG 6000 (5751) or the BG 6002? Why?

The Beogram 6000 type 5751 is a radial tracking deck which originates from the Beogram 2400-series - very similar to the Beogram 2404, but equipped with a one-way DataLink module. The arm was geared towards the older MMC20 cartridge system

The Beogram 6002 is a linear tracking deck - basically a Beogram 4002 housed in a Beogram 8002 enclosure with a one-way DataLink module. The arm was exactly the same as in the Beogram 8002 - geared towards the MMCx cartridge system.

Both decks are good - though not the best of the era. I would choose the 6002 as it is fully automatic and has linear tracking.

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

Thank yoy Sören, you answer fast as a switchblad!

I am aware that 6002 is a tangential tracking turntable and 6000 a radial tracking player, this is, perhaps a bit diffuse, what I meant with "difference in the system." How much more automatic is 6002, than 6000, along with, say a Beomaster 6000? What can 6002 do that 6000 can´t?

The 6002 is interesting as it has one way Datalink. This means the Beomaster will work the Beogram, but not the other way. Not a lot in it really but the 6002 arm can be advanced by remote I think. Whether this is useful is debatable! The other option is the 6006 or 8000, which are functionally identical. These have tangential drive and have the lowest wow and flutter of any B&O deck. The advantage of the 6006 and 8000 is one can alter the speed to match pitch with an instrument - so if you play along with a record, it is an advantage.

There is of course the other 6000 which is the quad version of the 4002 but that is not remote controllable.

I'm the happy owner of a Beogram 6006 and it is a great match for the rest of the Beosystem 6000. I use my Beosystem 6000 a lot and it plays just as good as my former beogram 8002. I do use the mmc20cl pickup so it is basically the same as the 8000.

The 6002 is a bit of a cheaper 8002 but it would proberly sound ok just not as wanted as the 6006,8000 and 8002 series

The 6002 should really be seen as a modernised 4002 - very similar in many ways.
