Following a power outage caused by Hurricane Sandy, my BEOSound9000 units control panel has stopped responding. The remote control, side buttons and cd carriage all work fine, and the unit was unplugged when power came back on so there should have been no risk of a power surge.

I take very good care of the unit and am just hoping there's a quick fix before sending it off to be looked at. Thanks in advance for any help!

The first thing I'd do is reverse it and try plugging in the other end.  'Might be a simple contact issue.

Hi, I appreciate this is an old thread, but the same issue has happened to me just recently. No hurricane involved, but I had recently moved the 9000 from a horizontal table position to a an upright table position (both on the b&o table stand) and back again. I flipped the control panel several times in the process.

I have cleaned the contacts on the panel . I have also powered the unit off for a short time (<1 minute).

Any suggestions for remedies?

Many thanks!
