Problem with Beogram 7000 - tonearm carriage not moving

Hi all, 

My BG7000 has gotten a problem: the tonearm carriage won't move. When pressintgplay, the platter spins as usual, but the tonearm is stuck at 0 positiion and a ticking sound can be heard.

 

The carriage can be moved by hand - there is no resistance of any kind, it feels like it usually does - but the motor isn't able to move it.

Is this something that I might be able to fix myself? Any suggestions?

Almost done! I just wish I had two more hands - the last part of the threading process (hooking the springy end of the wire on to my new hook (a screw)) is really tricky, at least for me! :)

Thanks for the advice, Steffen, i found that thread and a similar one and now my BG7000 is playing again!
