dear beoworlders, thanks to hatred and lack of humanity in real life I will continue in charitable work and trying make world better place, despite I cannot any longer find joy in Owning and using B&O's or and listen to some time trivial questions and down to earth answers.

Please all you whom feel affected - feel free to remove me from your friend lists - I hold nothing against any of you and wish you all joy an happiness there is to have.

It has been short and somewhat bumpy ride for me and I'm grateful for that and contacts I've made, but I have greater hell to deal with in real life (with bigger issues than value of B&O products) .

If any of you want some of the product I still own - please contact me (I don't want anything for it, just to get it of my life, for what it did caused little joy and lot hardship and where I be going I won't have use for it anyway)

All the best

bob

I commend you for your wish to get more involved with charity work. When my father passed away a few years ago, most of the local hospice staff were all volunteers and it does really make you think whether we really need to spend all this money on all this kit, when places like that are struggling to survive as they rely on donations.

When I read on this board of users wanting to sell their 6 month £10,0000 TV to buy a newer TV, and take a multi-thousand pound loss on their TV, then telling others their "telly" is the centre of their lives, you do wonder about the materialistic nature of some B&O users and, like you, it does make you wonder who is your friend (or not) in this life.

That is a shame - I think you have added some fun to the forum and have been a welcome member of the vintage owners club! Old B&O has the advantage of being cheap to buy and still be a quality product. I think the emphasis just on the latest gadget less than engaging and enthusiasm for the older products such as you have had is much more fun.

I must say, I allways have greatly admired people who have determination and courage to do what they feel and know is right thing to do, and that means things like doing the world better place to all of us to be. That is something what all of us should do in our everyday life with our everyday decisions. I do support your efforts with that. Carry on and best luck on your chosen road.

Hi Bob,

very, very sad to see you disappear from beoworld. For me you brought a very lively and fresh spirit to the forum, and personally, you enriched my time. I will miss our chats. Thanks for giving me the chance to bid on real vintage B&O (you know what I mean, and yes, I learned the difference now between semi vintage, vintage and real vintage). I wish you all the best as well as for your partner and please take care of your lovely cats. I hope it will be a "Auf Wiedersehen" rather than a "Lebewohl" (your german improved from e-mail to e-mail, mate).

So, for now, auf Wiedersehen und alles, alles Gute, mein Freund!

Kind regards,

Rolf

Dear Bob,

I don't know you personally nor do I know what happened to you in your life to make this bold decision... but I have great respect for you and your decision! You are an example for this forum which shows grace between us members and respect; not a common thing nowadays - whether in forums or in the great challenge called real life.
What I interpret between the lines is, that s.th. not so good happened in your life... it's pure speculation, I know, but I can tell you:

Whatever happens: There's always a way out!
Even if the worst case happens and somebody has to die there's the chance that doctors can help to let you pass away in peace and without pain.

Although we haven't met, I take my hat of to you.

Hi Bob,

The collector's dilemma. Letting it go must be one of the most difficult decisions one has to make. Thumbs up for the charity work, and the best of luck, the world does need people like you Bob.

Please don't go too far!

Hello all,

I would like to take the opportunity (having few spare minutes chasing motherboard for laptop I've sent to repair several months ago and closing eBay account) to thank you all and explain where I'm coming from.

Cleve & Jeff knows a little bit about my live and moral believes, I will summarize it in short sentence(s) Whistle

I believe that live is short (or to long, depends on its quality), but what it gone be like depends solely on each individuals effort and morals

I was told that the only thing in life which NEVER can be replaced is GOOD Person, what is hard to find these days, shall you live and let other live and do so as the day may be the last you have, you would do things differently and even (now) precious things you have and cling to would have different meaning. I was told that there isn't another way than to be sincere and true, otherwise you'd live life full of regrets and disappointments and trust me, there isn't nothing better in this world and no money can and will ever buy - MAKE someone's life better or at least bearable.

I've been through a lot in my lifetime and seen so much pain and suffering, that it does makes me wonder what is the purpose of us "best animals" - humans on this Earth and why can we just for while put others ahead of our agenda and do something good (shall it be not judging others), nice or make someone smile without any personal gain.

There is unfortunately corporate/collective responsibility for actions of humankind and situation(s) we're in and every single one of us can (shall he find the goodness in his/hers heart) and should make a difference, for what "we're but dust and dust we all become"...

Y'all have good day and enjoy what you doing Big Smile

bob

P.S. you won't get rid of me (that easily) just now, I still live and am pretty much entrapped in the SYSTEM, which I despise and have millions of opinions and believes, while I haven't donate computer (my only weapon against the wind mills) just yet (at least not this one)...
