It's a long time since I've been on the forum so apologies if this question has been asked already.

I have just bought a new beo 4 and cannot get it to record sky tv. With the old one I pressed go and the red button. This no longer works. The beo 4 online guide says the use the record function in the list menu but I can't get that to work either. Any suggestions?

PS i went back to beo 4 after my beo 6 went funny and the dealer could not fix it.

.

If you got the new (navi) Beo4, then try PLAY - RED, or reset Beo4 to MODE 2.

Thanks Stefan, reset to mode2 and now works fine. Still not sure what the new navi button is for though!

This new mode for Beo4 allows you to use the joystick (Beo4 type 1710) in conjunction with newer sets that have "navigation". In the set up menu of newer tv or sets that software up dated to a newer build, you can set this function on or off depending on which remote control you are using.

Perhaps not the most definitive answer but that is the gist of it.
