It must be me,but I can't work out how to add photo's to posts.

Can someone please explain without lapsing into "geekspeak" please?

Thanks,

Nick

Easiest to use the phone/iPad app.

There you have the camera up to the right when you write a post.

1. Upload the file to "your files area".

2. While replying, click on the film-strip icon ("insert media").

Easy, right?  OK, #1 is obscure (to me at least).  Here are the sub-steps:

1a. Sign in; 1b. Click "view forum" so the logged-in header in the upper right changes to show "logged in as member <yourname>"; 1c. Click on your user name <yourname>; 1d. In the "My Files" category box at the near right, click on "View All Files"; 1e. Click the "Choose File" button to navigate to the file name on your computer; 1f. Click the "Add File" button to actually upload that file.

#2, being less obscure, is (as they say) left as an exercise for the reader.

It's not even that complicated!

When typing a post there are three tabs - Compose, Options & Preview.

Under the Options tab there is an Add/Update button.

Select that, pick you photo, save ………… and Bob's your aunt's husband!

Ban boring signatures!

One thing to note...
Using the Options tab on a regular reply(not a quick reply) will allow you to choose a local file (i.e. a JPG image file) and include it in your post. However, it only allows one image per posting. At least that's all I can get to work.
In a case where you want to place more than one image in your post then the earlier mentioned method of adding images to your Beoworld user folder, then use the Insert Media icon to find those user folder images and use them.

The Beoworld user folder method of storing the images is also more convenient if you plan on using the image over again in multiple posts.

My only wish regarding the images are that the images automatically scaled on the post and allowed for larger image sizes than the current limit. But it isn't that big a deal for me to resize my images for Beoworld...just a minor one Wink

Nick
