hi all i have been running my BeoLab 8000mk 2’s and BeoLab 2 sub for a while now and is connected up to my Samsung tv via a headphone jack plug, I get a lot of hissing noise from the speakers which nowadays is innoying so just wondering what to use for this, been trying to have a read up but not sure what is best, people mentioned magicdac and also essense mk2, question is, is the essence a dac or not as can’t really find much info and any help is appreciated as wanting to keep my speakers but want less hiss

Is that some kind of dac or not and trying to get them to sound whit better as listened to some proper Hi-Fi speakers and they’re much clearer and crisper than the 8000’s

It let’s you connect optical input. And still use your TVs remote to control sound.

Using the TVs mini jack is the worst possible solution if you want good sound.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been in stock for over a year.  I clicked the "Notify Me" button a long time ago (so long ago that I no longer need one), and haven't heard anything - at least this is the story in the US.  My point is if you find it somewhere, I'd recommend buying it vs. waiting for the BeoPlay web site.

Might the Beosound Core be a replacement for the S8 connection hub?

Thanks and just wondering what everyone is using with their Beolab 2 and whatever other speakers as been looking into DACs and I have no idea what is what really ha, I just want to try something with my speakers to see if they can sound better as if not was thinking about Hi-Fi speakers but I still love the look of my Beolabs :) so if anyone has got some recommendations that would be great and how they connect dac to the Beolab 2 etc
