I’ve bought a second hand Beocenter 6-26. The TV turned on fine and presented the PIN screen. I successfully input the PIN and the got a WAIT message displayed for about 15 minutes.

After that, the unit went into standby (red light). I can bring it out if standby by pressing TV button, and the red light turns green, but nothing displays on screen. At this point there is no light. After about 15 mins the red standby light comes back on again.

Can anyone offer any ideas please?

My experience with older BV's is that if they have been disconnected from the mains for a long period (likely with a used TV) leave it plugged in overnight or for about 4-6 hours minimum. Then start again. Don't disconnect from the mains. Every time you do that the 6 hour wait period starts again.

To me it does not sound anything like successfully.

Go to a dealer and ask for the 4 digit pin. Mine helped me out with used equipment twice. So if the owner did not change the PIN you will be fine. If he did only Denmark knows... and will help, the TV is not worth a lot nowadays...

I’ve bought a second hand Beocenter 6-26.

Forgot: very nice TV, great sound. Just too small and with a big frame... from a cratfmansship point of view, a real jewel. I had two of these before and really liked them as a piece of timeless B&O design.

Thanks for both your replies. I’ll try leaving it plugged in overnight as haven’t done that yet.

i believe the PIN was successful as I got a message up saying so, and previously when I input it wrong I got an incorrect pin message.

Might be first 2 tries a different message than the last.

When the TV is asking for a PIN, you have 5 possibilities to enter the correct PIN. After 5 false tries the TV will lock for 12 hours (as far as I can remember) and the TV will display WAIT. After the 12 hours you will have a few oppertunities to enter the right PIN. If this faits, the TV will display WAIT again.

You can also ask for a Master Code If the original PIN does no longen work anymore. Your dealer can help you with that, just contact them.
