I have a pair of S80s I need to refoam them, My main trouble is the front covers are missing, I guess I would not be able to buy the covers so I am thinking of making a set of covers with a thin wood frame but not sure if this would be possible.
Could anyone take a few pictures with measurements.
Anyone know if the original cloth is available?
Where is best place to buy the foam / rubber rolls?
Thanks for looking, John.
Where are you, John?
For inspiration on new frets from scratch, I recommend Soren Mexico's thread on Beovox 3700 (I think).
EDIT
Check Soren Mexico's Beovox 3702 thread on the archived forum.
Hi Rich, I am in England. Thank you for the link to thread very interesting but my speakers are different to the thread. After writing my request I got the speakers out to have a look at them. The plastic fronts stick out at least 40mm beyond the wood sides, and are curved at the edges it will take more to make than I had hoped. I realy need closeup photographs and measurements if anyone can help.
John.
You mean these speakers?
If yes, I can give you dimensions later this week.
Rings bought at Goodhifi and cloth on Ebay.com

Hi Leslie, They are the speakers. I look forwards to the measurements, A photo of inside the covers would be nice if possible.
Thank you, John.
Will do that for ya, in such a way that you can make a replica, no probs....
Pictures first.. Dimensions will follow soon!
And the drawings..(dims in mm.)
WOW Leslie! That must have took you hours to draw! Amazing!

Good practice for me, I'm in a Autocad course for the next few weeks and if I can be of any help, why not? Thanks Dennis!

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Wow, I was not expecting this Leslie, Thank you very much for al your trouble. I presume the "web" is made from plastic ? I think I will have to make mine from an aluminium sheet. painted black.
Thanks again, John.
Søren Mexico: Top Drawing Lelie
Just checked one more time, you did not forget one single dimension. Top grade for this one.
Edit: Missing the OD for the pins, the inner piece of the taps had the OD but not the small outer piece, just to help you getting into your cat.
2nd Edit: the OD for the inner piece of the taps also missing, even so top job, It has been tears since I checked a drawing, did that for my pupils years ago.
I left that info away because I was not sure in what way Johnpc wanted to make these pins. Peter (mod) suggested once to use those so called wall plugs as an alternative. Beside that Johnpc probably will measure the hole diameter in order to use the right (bit larger) pin fixed on his cover! Long story short, if Johnpc (or others) wants to have this missing info to be added?
Btw Søren, I miss the letter s in my name
Leslie:Btw Søren, I miss the letter s in my name
LeSlie I got exited, seeing a professional drawing, in Mexico I only see bad freehand scribbles.
The wall plug solution is perfect I repaired 1 pin on my S45s with that.
I think I'm gonna make one set (aluminium) myself. Just for fun!
An update. Not as planned, but very welcome. A forum member has kindly posted me a slightly damaged set of covers which I have been able to make good. Thanks. And Thank you to Leslie I am sure your expert drawing will be of use to someone in future.
