Dear colleagues,

I have MCL 2AV (2031) SW2.1 and IR Transciever (2047) SW2.0
I would like to connect it to my beomaster 5500 to get extra audio inputs.
Please help me with programming MCL 2AV.

Many thanks in advance,
Aleksei

Aleksei:
I would like to connect it to my beomaster 5500 to get extra audio inputs.

The inputs on the MCL 2AV are "additional local inputs" in a link-room with active speakers.
.

Sources connected to these inputs can only be used locally (in this room), they  can't be
"exported" to other link-rooms (to other MCL  2AV's)  nor can they be "routed back" to the BM 5500.

Some information about MCL and option setting (programming) you'll find in the BeoTech section of this site:

Hi Vienna,

Thanks for your replay.

I think if I connect MCL 2AV PoweLink signal outputs pins with BM5500 AUX input pins it will work for me. At the moment I have connected with same mode my Beosystem AV 7000 and Beomaster 5500 and it works well as extended inputs.

My main problem, that I can't find programming guide for MCL 2AV. As soon I'm not a first owner of MCL 2AV, I don't know in which mode it will worked.

Best regards,

Aleksei

Hi Aleksei,

try this link to the archived forum.

You should be able to open the ports of the MCL 2AV with <SHIFT>, <RADIO>, <6> or <7> with a Beolink 1000.

But you might get a problem because the powerlink output of the MCL 2AV is not at fixed level but variable. If your MCL2AV is in the same room as your Beomaster 5500 changing the volume can work on the BM5500 _and_ on the MCL 2AV.

Ralph-Marcus

Hi Ralph-Marcus,

Thank you for solution. This is exactly, what I wanted.

Volume control not a problem for me, because I can bypas the volume control IC's TC9177P.

Many thanks for assistance,

Aleksei

Or put the ML2AV in Option 4 and use the LINK-command to select other sources and do the volumecontrol from the ML2AV. No bypasses needed that way.
