elephant: chartz:thank God my photos and Jari's are on out servers! I had in th east been irritated when out servers like imageshack broke or changed and so had always preferred relying on Beoworld. I think I have learnt a hard lesson But I should have know better, all my photo contributions to the grandfather Beoworld were lost as well At least this time we have preserved the text .........

Its all there, all uploaded pics and files are there.
The problem is that the server, or the software, do not read archives, files or pics with a space in the name, like BM4000 it will read OK, but BM 4000 it will not, went to my old files and tried to change the file names, but no such luck, so it looks like its up to Kieth now.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
I like the new forum.
I rarely use the search function.
Too long to list....
bayerische: I rarely use the search function.
Like wise, I rarely use the search function but I can understand why others may find it useful. Indeed, i wish that novices to the brand would use the search function instead of asking the same questions over and over again!
I do not understand the fascination with posting photographs of B&O equipment. Surely, once you have seen one pair of Beolab 1's or one Beosound 9000, you have seen them all?
Come to think of it, I don't understand camera's on mobile phones or masses of photos taking up acres of space on a hard drive!! What is that all about?
My memories are in my head, why would I want to share them elsewhere???
Regards Graham

so were mine, and for years I never kept travel diaries, now as I age I wish I had

Not at all, I either (a) enjoy seeing fabulous kit getting fabulous treatment from some of the professional and serious amateur camera folk we have on the forum, and/or (b) enjoying seeing other people's sense of style - some I like and some I don't like - and getting ideas

agreed, and I have been guilty myself; so let's hope the Wiki will solve some of those !

I don't see why it should, we had FAQ's and and a whole website full of information and it would appear that most novices couldn't be bothered to look!
The RIAA question, for instance, is well documented on the site as is the MCL amplifiers/ MK2 or fully wired powerlink point, both are well documented but lead to endless questions which have all been answered hundreds of times before.
These points and dozens of others are covered on the main site, in FAQ's or by searching the forum. Are people just too idle to look nowadays or is reading and gathering information in the brain, somewhat old fashioned in the 21st century???
Perhaps I will soon be extinct!
